Amid the COVID-19 pandemic everyone was asked to stay home except those who were deemed essential workers. Before the pandemic, Héma-Québec relied on collecting 1,000 blood donations a day in order to meet the demand.

Since March 16th, Premier Francois Legualt called on all Quebecers to continue to donate blood despite the pandemic. Héma-Québec has managed to meet and even exceed its daily goal.

Now, once again Héma-Québec is asking all Quebecers who can to donate blood. This month, 3,000 more donations are needed than usual in anticipation of the surgeries that were not done during the crisis.

To find out where and when to donate, visit the Hema-Quebec website.
