Premier François Legault not excluding making masks mandatory in all of Quebec

Now that Montreal is making masks mandatory in public indoor spaces, Premier François Legault says he is not excluding doing the same for the province.

He told reporters that he is “not against the idea,” and confirmed that it's one of the scenarios they have studied.” So far The Quebec government strongly recommends wearing a mask in indoor spaces, but has only made it mandatory on public transit starting next week.

He said the situation is not black and white. I think we have to put some restrictions, not too much if we want the population to follow and support these measures.”  They are analyzing the situation,”
