Le Mondo bistro lounge welcomed anti-maskers on July 7, but it is rather the non-compliance with the health regulations of the Government of Quebec that will cost them their liquor license, at least temporarily.

The Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (RACJ) obtained the closure of the establishment at the request of the Saint-Jérôme City Police Service, which has noted for three weeks that the rules imposed on bars in Quebec no 'are not applied.

"The Mondo stands out for its non-compliance with instructions," - Police Officer

Along with other police officers who have visited Le Mondo in the past three weeks, they have found that the vast majority of staff are not wearing masks, that the bar has more customers than the law allows and that the runway was often crowded. There were clients kissing different clients, people on the dance floor, which the law prohibits to use. No count of customers was made at the entrance, physical distancing was nonexistent, and no one asked anyone to wash their hands with alcohol.
