We have all dropped that fresh toasted toasted, or freshly washed strawberry on the floor, yes? Have you ever contemplated whether or not to just pick it up and eat it?

The Five Second Rule, is a completely unscientific belief that food left on the floor for less than five seconds is sufficiently germ free.

A study found that  bacteria was transferred from tabletops and floors to the food within five seconds.
