Busy weekend! Masks became mandatory in indoor public spaces in Quebec and not everyone is happy about it …

It all started Saturday afternoon when man at a Tim Horton’s on Papineau was pepper sprayed and arrested for refusing to wear a mask and then refusing to leave the Timmy’s.

And while the latest survey says about 80 per cent of Canadians support the idea of making masks mandatory, about 100 people got together yesterday for an anti-mask protest outside Premier François Legault’s Montreal office.

Quebec reported the highest number of new COVID-19 cases since the first week of June

1 person died and 166 more people tested positive for COVID-19 Saturday bringing the total number of positive cases in Quebec to over 57 thousand

Meanwhile, Premier François Legault says he is keeping bars open saying that private gatherings are of greater concern than drinking establishments.  … after studying the new cases in recent days, the vast majority stemmed from the health network and not from bars.
