The culture of tipping may be set to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Most restaurants and bars across the country rely on contactless payment methods, but not everyone is happy with some of the solutions.

Many establishments, including restaurant chains, have also chosen to tip or eliminate it altogether. The idea, in both cases, is to allow customers to pay without having to touch the machine to enter the amount of their choice.

So incase you go to a restaurant and see an 15% or 18% already on your bill, it might be because the restaurant will impose this mandatory method.
