Quebec is looking into creating a whole network of reserved carpool and bus lanes on the Montreal Area highways.

They will be adding lanes, not removing them and the new network will be in communities on the north and south shores of Montreal, but not in the city itself.

We are taking Highways 13, 20, 25, along with the 440, 640 and the 116.  On the south shore, they’re looking at Highways 15, 19, 30, and the 132.

They don’t know how much it will cost yet, but the hope is to get some of the reserved lanes built by 2022.
