A Quebec artist has created a gorgeous mural honoring healthcare workers who have been working tirelessly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The six-story tribute, which was created by urban artist Patrick Forchild, took several weeks to finish and can be seen high above Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine, alongside the main entrance to the Montreal Jewish hospital.
Frontline worker and Beat listener Alma Mendoza sent us these two images (seen above and below) which show how impressive this gorgeous mural really is.
Forchild created the piece for phase two of Montreal’s MURAL Festival, a celebration of urban art, which runs until September 20.
The official inauguration of the mural is on Sep. 9 at the Jewish. If you plan on attending the festival, don’t be shy to reach out to The Beat with pictures of other murals you come across.
