Sabrina Carpenter wants to get more use out of the silver dress she wore to the Time 100 Next Gala in October.

The Espresso hitmaker hit the red carpet wearing a strapless silver metal mesh gown by Versace with a sweetheart neckline and dramatic thigh-high slit. The singer, who was honoured at the New York City event, completed the look with silver stilettos and a scarf.

In an interview with Vogue, Sabrina named the outfit as one of her recent favourites and lamented the fact that she didn't get to wear it for very long.

"I wore this gorgeous custom dress for the Time (100 Next) Gala. We probably did three or four fittings. I wore it for about 20 minutes, and then had to take it off because I was performing. I was like, this just isn't fair! I need more events to wear it to," she shared, before joking, "Or, I need to be able to wear these things to the grocery store without people looking at me weird."

The 25-year-old recently stepped up her relationship with Versace by starring in the ad campaign for the luxury brand's Biggie sunglasses.

Sabrina told the outlet that she has been a fan of the Italian house and its creative director Donatella Versace "for as long as (she) can remember" so their collaboration was "effortless".

Explaining why she gravitates towards their designs for red carpets, the Taste hitmaker continued, "The femininity of the clothes is really what always keeps me coming back for more. They just know a woman's body. I'm very petite, so a lot of the time, fashion for me is more than just a beautiful dress - it's the way that it lays on you, and accentuates you.

"There's been so many moments where I've gotten to wear Versace; they have such beautiful fabrics and chain mail. And I'm never against a corset, and they make them better than anyone."
