Good news for Montreal transit users — the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has confirmed that its maintenance employees have suspended their strike. This means uninterrupted service will gradually resume starting Wednesday morning.
The strike, which began at the start of November, was the third and most disruptive one this year. For the first time since November 2, there will be no service interruptions outside of peak hours.
However, the strike notice for bus drivers, metro operators, and station agents on November 15 and 16 is still in effect and could significantly impact service unless an agreement is reached beforehand.
