At his press conference this afternoon, Premier Francois Legault addressed the province and provided an update with regards to Covid-19 cases throughout Quebec.
Province wide, Quebec has now reached 181 confirmed cases; this is an increase of 42 cases since yesterday.
As the daily amount of tests taken and analyzed increases, this number is more than likely to continue rising over the coming days and weeks.
As it stands, 1512 Quebecers are awaiting their tests results, while 9242 tests for Covid-19 have come back negative.
Premier Francois Legault is confident that our provincial health care system is ready and prepared for an increase of cases as we continue our attempts at flattening the curve and stopping the spread of the virus.
He again stated that our efforts of social distancing are crucial at this time, and added provincial health officials are confident that these methods are effective in stopping the spread and keeping those most vulnerable at a lower risk of contamination.
