During the recent renovations to the Olympic Stadium’s leaning tower, something breathtaking was happening, but you may not have noticed unless you were looking closely…
A small, specialized team of climbers was on site during the renovation work to help with the tricky, detailed work of placing windows and other equipment as it was lowered onto the outside walls of the tower by construction cranes.
One worker described the project as “the biggest rope site Quebec has ever known”.
This delicate job was made even more complex by the incline of the Olympic Tower. Because of its shape, the climbers had to be creative and rig their equipment in special ways. Somehow, they managed never to make any serious mistakes!
Now, the Parc olympique YouTube page has posted an official video (in French) depicting the amazing work done by the incredible team of climbers on site. Check it out below!
