SAQ Employees are “Pranking” the Public!

In an effort to pressure their employer into negotiations, SAQ employees are resorting to various measures, including stickers in their windows and others... But their latest tactic is their most unusual yet!

Visit your local SAQ branch today, and you’ll likely find all of the wine bottles turned around so that the back label faces outwards, and all of the price tags turned upside down! (LOL)

It’s a clever tactic, because let’s be real: it won’t stop any of us from buying wine, right?

SAQ employees have authorized their union to call a six-day strike after negotiations stalled. However, there is still hope for an agreement; the parties are back at the bargaining table today (Thursday) and tomorrow. There is no official word, however, on what will happen if no agreement is reached.

Meanwhile, SAQ clients might discover some new alcohol varieties after “shopping blind”... Who knows?
