Where to Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day

Where to Celebrate Saint Patrick's DayiStock.com/Lordn

Montreal's Irish heritage is on full display this Sunday, March 17, for St. Patrick's Day! That, of course, includes traditional Irish pubs, and Montreal has plenty of those. Almost all of the Irish pubs in town are hosting some sort of party or event this Sunday, so you can continue the celebration after the traditional St. Patrick's Day parade is over!

Not sure where to go on St. Patricks Day for FUN and celebrations? We put together a list of GREAT places where you can hang out with your family and friends!

1. McKibbin's Irish Pub - 4 locations
McKibbin's is perhaps Montreal's most famous Irish pub, with four locations in the Montreal area. Each one will be host to a special brakfast, after which drinks, music and dancing will continue all day long.

2. Foufounes Electriques - 87 Ste-Catherine E.
See a rocking tribute to legendary band Flogging Molly by local band Seven Bags of Bricks while you enjoy a beer after the parade.
Doors: 2 pm
Show: 4 pm

3. Crobar - 1221 Crescent
Crobar is hosting Cranberries tribute band The Blackberries!
Doors open at 4 pm.

4. Sir Winston Churchill Pub - 1455 Crescent
Another classic Irish pub located downtown, on Crescent. Live music all afternoon at this pub in celebration of St. Patrick's!
Brunch from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Green beer on tap (of course, LOL).

5. La P'tite Grenouille - 3435 St Laurent
This relatively new Saint-Laurent dig is hosting an all-day party (starting at noon of course) with DJs, a live cover band and host Warth Stevenson.
"Green everything" on the menu... How can you go wrong?!

6. Nacho Libre - 913 Beaubien E
Drink specials all day, including a FREE drink if your name is Patrick (or Patricia!). Bottoms up!

7. Hurley's -1225 Crescent
Another classic Montreal Irish pub, Hurley's, too, will have live music, dancing and food all day to help you celebrate!

8. Jet Nightclub - 2020 Crescent
Sunday night - advertised as the BIGGEST St. Patrick's party in town, tickets start at $10 (today only).

Live from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM
