If you haven’t seen this video on social media yet, go watch it. It is nothing short of miraculous.
Ryan Straschnitzki was one of 13 players injured when a truck driver blew through a stop sign and into the path of the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team's bus in Saskatchewan. Sixteen others died.
Now, it looks like Ryan could be getting a new lease on life after a successful experimental surgery has given him control of his legs again. Ryan had been paralyzed from the chest downsince the accident. He almost kicked his therapist when first moving his legs!
Ryan travelled all the way to Thailand for an experimental spinal surgery hoping to restore just a little movement in his legs. The results were beyond his expectations... Now, after nearly kicking his therapist, he’s flat out asking when he can get back to the gym! His mother Michelle says it had her bawling! Only 6 people in Canada and about 30 worldwide have had this procedure done.
