A lockdown at Massey-Vanier High School in Cowansville, QC ended around 11am after the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) said there was no immediate danger to people inside.
Three people are currently detained, but no weapons were found on them. At least two of them are students.
The Eastern Townships School Board announced the end of the lockdown on its Facebook page, saying “no students or staff were in danger and that the lock down was mostly a preventative measure.”
CBC reports that the school’s activities, including classes and transportation, will continue as normal. Parents who wish to pick up their children will be able to do so, but will not be allowed to enter the school.
