The total number of COVID-19 cases in Quebec reached a new high on Monday since the start of the pandemic at 628 people infected, an increase of 409 cases in one day. There are currently 45 hospitalized patients in the province, 20 of whom are in intensive care.

After the closure of shopping centers, restaurant dining rooms and hair and beauty salons (except SAQ, pharmacies and grocery stores remain open), Premier Legault is now requesting the closure of all "non-essential" businesses until April 13th.
