There’s a lot to love about the holiday season but there’s also a lot of things most of us wish we could avoid. For example, shopping can sometimes be fun, but it can also be exhausting no thanks to the overcrowded malls and long lines (not to mention, not everyone is easy to shop for). Some of us dread running into relatives we aren’t necessarily fond of while others stress about other things such as an office gift exchange, finances, or the cold winter weather.

Surprisingly though, none of those things landed at the top of a recent survey that asked Americans what they hated most about the season.

According to the results, 52 percent of Americans say the hardest aspect of the holiday season is wrapping gifts. In fact, half (51 percent) despise the process so much that they would rather have their gifts wrapped by a professional and will go to any length to avoid doing it themselves. Half of them will even go out of their way to buy gifts that are simple to wrap.

The hardest gifts to wrap according to those surveyed include Bicycles (55 percent), gym equipment (46 percent), sporting balls (45 percent), guitars (45 percent), and candles (45 percent).

Moreover, half of the people (59%) say it is frustrating that after all that work wrapping gifts, most people can tell what something is and who it came from just by examining the package.
