If you’re planning on going out this week, make sure to bundle up.

The winter has been brutal, to say the least, and it isn’t getting any better. Not only did several parts of Canada get hit with a huge snowstorm this past week but the temperature has been dropping more and more since the start of the year. And tonight, it is going to get worse.

The overnight low Thursday night in Montreal is expected to drop to -29 degrees Celsius. And according to CTV News, that would be a new record for January 21, beating the old record of -27.5 C in 2005.

The last time Montreal saw the temperature drop that much in January was way back in 2004 when the low dropped to -29.1 C.

It gets worse…

We might see a repeat on Friday night as the low once again is expected to drop to -29 C which would set a new record for January 22 beating the current record low which is -28.3 C on January 22, 1976.

Stay warm; and if you see any stray cats or homeless people outside, please extend a helping hand.
