Starting on June 20th, Canada will officially be lifting vaccine mandates for any outbound domestic and international travel. This new update will allow Canadians that are not vaccinated the opportunity to board a plane without needing to be vaccinated ahead of time.

Despite the new update in vaccine mandate, travellers will still be required to follow COVID-19 measures such as testing and quarantine requirements upon re-entry from international destinations. In addition, those boarding cruise ships will still need to follow vaccination requirements.

According to CTV News, “Foreign nationals coming to Canada will still be required to be vaccinated in order to enter, though they would be able to depart the country if unvaccinated.”

The ArriveCAN app will still be in effect until further notice.
