Controversial Netflix series 13 Reasons Why is returning for a third season, Netflix announced Wednesday. The show got both rave reviews and harsh moral critiques for its highly-successful first season. By addressing tough issues such as rape, bullying and suicide, the show both fascinated and threw off viewers.

Season 2, however, was much less appreciated by viewers and critiques. To illustrate this, Forbes points out that the show’s Rotten Tomatoes review score dropped from 80% for season 1 to just 28% for season 2…

However, Netflix still decided to renew the show, which must mean that hardcore fans are still watching in high numbers.

Like the first two seasons of the show, season 3 will have 13 episodes. Production will begin this year, with a release expected sometime in 2019. Selena Gomez is returning as executive producer, alongside Brian Yorkey, Joy Gorman, Mandy Teefey, Kristel Laiblin, Tom McCarthy and Steve Golin.
