Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the Montreal area – high heat and humidity will settle over the area and is likely to last until Wednesday.
Tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug. 28) is the day to watch out for – humidex values will exceed 40, making the air heavy and increasing health risks for children, the elderly, people who work outside and people living without air conditioning.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
