Amber Heard pairs dazzling swim cap with gown for Aquaman world premiere

Amber Heard celebrated the premiere of Aquaman on Monday (26Nov18) by appearing on the blue carpet with an ocean themed swim cap and gown.

The actress, who portrays the titular character's wife Mera, Queen of the Sea in the highly anticipated film, sported a sparkling Valentino seafoam green dress with a matching headpiece, and topped off the look with scarlet red lipstick.

Her stunning dress featured a plunging neckline and train, complete with metallic-accented brocade fabric and a thigh-high split.

The piece is from the Italian label's fall 2018 couture collection. The bold style choice was complimented by vintage jewels from the 1850s.

Heard's stylist Karla Welch expressed her excitement over the look by taking to Instagram to share images of the ensemble.

"When you’ve waited since July to wear a @maisonvalentino haute couture masterpiece. And duh, it’s @aquamanmovie so obviously we went for the swim cap!" she posted.

The blonde beauty rocked another jaw-dropping look as part of the comic book adaptation's promotion earlier this month, when she appeared at a Beijing press event in a form fitting black mini dress from Celine's Spring 2019 collection. She paired the sleeveless black dress, which featured a tear-drop cutout, with matching high heels.

In a recent interview with Shape magazine, she opened up about her intense training regime for the physically demanding role, explaining she worked out for six months: "It was a lot of weight and strength training, as well as special martial arts training," she told the publication. "By the end, I was working out for five hours a day."

Aquaman is set to hit theatres in the U.K. on 14 December (18) and in the U.S. on 26 December (18).
