Justin Timberlake will return to Montreal this summer, after over a year-long absence. The Say Something singer will be shooting a film on location in our city, for the upcoming biopic "Spinning Gold". His last stop in Montreal was in April 2018, for his Man of the Woods tour (photo).
Multiple reports claim the movie, which has been 8 years in the making, will finally be shot in Montreal this summer. "Spinning Gold" will look at the life and times of Neil Bogart, the notorious co-founder of Casablanca Records. It's expected that Justin Timberlake will play the part of Bogart. The infamous record executive was behind some of the biggest names in 1970's music, including Donna Summer, KISS, the Village People and Cher.
"Spinning Gold" is a family affair: written and produced by Neil Bogart's sons Tim and Evan, it promises an intimate, personal look at the record executive's fascinating life and career... Plus, Justin Timberlake's face promises to attract mainstream attention to a side of the record industry that seldom gets the credit it deserves.
Long story short... Keep your eyes peeled for J.T. in Montreal this summer! Stars love our city... Just last summer, Adam Sandler crashed a weddin in Montreal! Who knows what shenanigans J.T. might pull during his time here?
