Taylor Swift has been named “Woman of the Decade” by Billboard, in its special “Women in Music” edition. The industry mag paid tribute to Swift’s career in a decade-spanning piece about the country-singer-turned-megastar.
In short, Taylor Swift has risen to superstardom in a way seldom seen before. Billboard praises that once-in-a-generation level of success. They also tip their hats to Taylor for paying her success story forward by advocating for artists’ rights in the increasingly difficult world of streaming services and decreasing revenues.
