Paris Hilton has shared details of her "breathtakingly beautiful" engagement ring from her new fiance, Carter Reum.
On Wednesday, the 40-year-old announced the news that she was now an engaged woman after her businessman beau popped the question on 13 February, after a year of dating, during a romantic holiday on a private tropical island to celebrate her birthday.
The DJ and socialite took to social media to share pictures from the proposal, showing her wearing a white sequinned Retrofete gown, a Loschy crown and sparkly fingerless gloves, which complimented her huge emerald cut diamond ring.
Paris revealed more details of the special occasion on her website and revealed that Carter had designed the one-of-a-kind ring, named Paris, himself after reportedly being inspired by the Parisian landmarks.
"My love went above and beyond in every way. He tapped Jean Dousset, the great-great-grandson of Louis-François Cartier, to design a breathtakingly beautiful ring that appears to be lit from within," she wrote, before sharing a video on YouTube detailing the design process with hand-painted sketches from Dousset's atelier.
"I am excited about this next chapter and having such a supportive partner. Our relationship is one of equals. We make each other better people. He was absolutely worth the wait!" Paris said in a statement to Vogue after accepting Carter's proposal.
The heiress also shared her joy in a post on Instagram, alongside several snaps of the moment Carter dropped to one knee.
"As we walked to dinner along the beach, Carter led us to a cabana adorned with flowers and dropped to one knee. I said yes, yes to forever. There's no one I'd rather spend forever with," Paris sweetly shared.
