This last Friday, the Montreal Alouettes congratulated former quarterback Anthony Calvillo on the football team’s Facebook page on officially becoming a Canadian citizen.

Graduating from Utah State University, Calvillo started playing for Montreal back in 1998 and was inducted into the CFL Hall of Fame back in 2017.

According to CTV News, “He played 20 CFL seasons and holds the all-time CFL passing record with 79,816 yards, third among all professional football quarterbacks behind New Orleans Saints future hall-of-famer Drew Brees and arguable GOAT Tom Brady.”

Eight Grey Cups and three wins later, Anthony Calvillo now works as an offensive coordinator for the University de Montreal Carabins football team.

Congrats!
