The pair made a bet ahead of Tom's Oscar nomination for The Revenant.
Tom Hardy has finally held up his end of a wager he made with Leonardo DiCaprio, getting "LEO KNOWS ALL" tattooed on his arm.
At the 2016 Academy Awards, Tom earned a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his role in The Revenant, in which he co-starred with Leonardo. His Oscars recognition was predicted by Leonardo, who bet Tom that he would get a nomination - with the loser having to get an etching of the other's design.
The 40-year-old actor eventually lost out on the gong, to Mark Rylance for Bridge of Spies, and now, nearly two years on from the pair's bet, has had the inking added to his already vast tattoo collection.
In a recent selfie with a fan, the words "LEO KNOWS ALL" can be seen on Tom's right bicep. It also looks slightly red, suggesting it is a new addition to Tom's body.
Tom previously told British Esquire magazine that he was unsure about whether or not he would keep his bet with Leonardo, who won the Best Actor Oscar for their joint movie, and get the design tattooed on him.
"I haven't got it yet, because it sucks..." he told the publication in 2016. "He wrote, in this really s**tty handwriting, 'Leo knows everything.' Ha! I was like, 'OK, I'll get it done, but you have to write it properly'."
Tom has something of a history of getting tattoos after losing bets. He also has an inking of the name "Lindy" - the result of another bargain Tom made, this time with agent Lindy King.
“I said, ‘If you ever get me to Hollywood, I’ll get your name tattooed on me.’ So I did," Tom smiled during a previous interview.
Among Tom's other tattoos are the London skyline, a dragon and comedy and tragedy masks with "Smile Now Cry Later" written underneath them.
