British Airways is planning a unique and quirky way to celebrate the royal wedding this Saturday between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The airline’s flight BA93 from London to Toronto this Saturday will be staffed entirely with Harrys, Megans and Meghans, Daily Hive reports.
In total, 10 people will operate the flight; seven named Megan, two named Harry and one named Meghan. The flight leaves Heathrow just an hour after the new royal couple is scheduled to tie the knot.
We are so thrilled for Prince Harry and Meghan so wanted to bring some added sparkle and make our customers’ journeys fit for a Prince or Princess to celebrate this incredibly special day.
Plus, anyone leaving London from Heathrow’s Terminal 5 who is named Harry, Meghan or Megan will be granted access to British Airways’ lounge area! In addition, each customer departing from Heathrow on May 19 will get an elderflower Victoria sponge, the same flavour as Harry & Meghan’s wedding cake.
Passengers on BA93 will also receive complimentary bottles of Castelnau Blanc du Blanc, and will be treated to reruns of “Suits”, starring Meghan Markle herself. Documentaries and podcasts about how the couple met and the history of Windsor Castle will also be on offer.
One of the crew members even quipped that they would have to use each other’s last names:
Harry and Meghan’s relationship started across the Atlantic so it seemed fitting for all of us to take-off to Toronto on their special day. I’ve flown with another Megan once or twice before, but never seven so we might have to all call each other by our surnames during this very special flight!
