Sofia Vergara is launching a line of "revolutionary" shapewear for women.
The Modern Family actress joined forces with entrepreneur Renata Black in late 2017 to unveil subscription underwear service EBY, with 10 per cent of the proceeds from sales going to the Seven Bar Foundation, which provides small loans to women around the world to help them start their own business.
Now, Sofia is expanding the brand's offerings to include Comfort Shape shapewear garments, with the range currently featuring a brief and thong silhouette.
"Excited to officially announce my launch of Comfort Shape with @joineby," she captioned a snap of the designs on her Instagram page. "We've heard from so many women that they want to be shaped and supported, but also feel comfortable. So we listened and I'm so excited to finally share with you the launch of Comfort Shape - revolutionising shapewear."
Aligning with EBY's size-inclusive strategy, the undergarments are available in a wide range of sizes. Pieces are currently only available in a nude colour, though black versions will be introduced soon.
Regarding the concept, Sofia also shared in an interview with People.com that she and Renata worked on the product for nine months and did over 30 fit tests until they settled on the perfect cut and fabric.
"It's super comfortable. You don't feel like you're in a girdle or anything like that... It holds everything in without making you feel like you want to throw up!" the 46-year-old insisted. "Underwear is something that really makes you or not in an outfit. If you have the wrong underwear, it can really damage the look. So, I will always really appreciate a good underwear."
A monthly subscription box with one pair of underwear costs $16 (£13), while the three-pair box is $45 (£36) every three months.
