Post Malone has had an image of a buzzsaw dripping with blood tattooed onto his face.

The Rockstar hitmaker has added to his extensive body art collection by getting the design inked on the centre of his left cheekbone.

Taking to Instagram, tattoo artist Ruben Reza of Junction City Tattoo posted a close-up of the fresh ink on Thursday. He also indicated that Post had decided to get the buzzsaw motif added shortly before his Runaway Tour concert held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri on Wednesday night.

"Last night at the sprint center in KC (sic). Thanks again homies see you in Austin," Ruben captioned one snap.

Post, real name Austin Richard Post, has not yet spoken about why he decided to get the buzzsaw design. However, he won't have much space left for any further tattoos, as he already has several on his face and neck.

In January, New York-based tattoo artist Kyle Hediger tattooed an image of a medieval gauntlet holding a flail on his right cheek. The design runs from the end of his sideburns on his cheek, down alongside his ear, and ends at his chin.

And at the time, Post admitted to TMZ.com that getting the new tattoo was a painful process.

"It hurt like a motherf**ker," the 24-year-old confessed. "It's like a gauntlet and like a flail, it's like a big spiked bar on a chain. It's pretty brutal. I wanted to do it for a while, but finally, I said, 'F**k it and let's do it.'"

Post also has a long dagger down his right cheek, "always tired" written under both eyes, barbed wire just underneath his hairline, as well as the words "stay away" and a pack of cards on his forehead.
