Katy Perry candidly revealed “everything is swollen” as she enters the late stages of her pregnancy.

The singer is due to give birth to her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom soon and admits she is feeling the full effects of carrying a baby.

Referring to herself as “large marge in charge”, Katy discussed how she is finding pregnancy during a video appearance on Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O.

"Everything is swollen. My hands are swollen, my feet are starting to swell,” she said, before adding she’s now wearing sandals everywhere because her shoes are too tight.

"I'm really grateful for my body. Going through this process you get a whole new viewpoint."

During the video interview, Katy wore a long-sleeved white crop top emblazoned with the phrase Smile in capital rainbow letters. The 35-year-old singer went on to admit she’d had second thoughts about wearing the short top for her online appearance.

“I wanted to wear this piece of merch that I had made for my new record,” Katy explained, showing off her sizeable baby bump. “But I was looking at it and I was like, ‘It’s a crop top. Can I wear that? I’m going to be a mom. But then I was like, ‘f**k it! I can still be young and fun, and wear a crop top!’”

Katy is expecting a girl, and although the due date remains a mystery, there is speculation she could give birth in the next few weeks.

The singer also described herself as a "mother on the move", revealing that the DNA between her and Orlando, who also has nine-year-old son Flynn, is “very high-energy” and she is hoping their daughter shares that same quality.
