Beyonce's latest IVY PARK collection features an array of vibrant colours as she wanted to "offset the sadness" of 2020.
The Formation superstar will launch her second set of athleisure designs with Adidas from Thursday, with the latest drop of sneakers, sweatshirts, sweatpants, jackets, swimwear, and accessories coming in colours including yellow, coral, and different shades of green.
Beyonce has explained that the latest Adidas x IVY PARK collection, titled Drip 2, is more colourful than the first line, which was released in January, because she felt that people need a way to "offset the sadness" that they have been feeling this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protests.
"Colour became a way to offset the sadness we've all been experiencing this year," Beyonce told HighSnobiety. "While we all still feel a bit uncertain about the times, I hope this collection for men and women (makes) everyone remember better times and that it adds some joy, fun, and playfulness."
Beyonce models the latest pieces - which also include accessories such as bucket hat, bags, belts, and socks - in the drop in a campaign titled This Is My Park, a series of images and videos which asks the audience to find their park, a place that defines them.
Drip 2 continues the gender-neutral aesthetic of the previous line and introduces even more inclusive sizing, with many styles in the range being available in sizes XXXS to 4X. Prices range from $25 (£19) for accessories to $200 (£153) for outerwear.
Beyonce previously launched the IVY PARK line with Topshop in 2016 but assumed full ownership of it in 2018 after sexual assault allegations surfaced around Topshop boss Sir Philip Green. She announced IVY PARK's collaboration with Adidas last year.
