Ciara and Russell Wilson are releasing a duo of fragrances.
The couple are venturing into the beauty market for the first time with the release of R&C The Fragrance Duo, which they created in partnership with manufacturer Hampton Beauty.
The Seattle Seahawks star and Goodies singer worked with perfumers Catherine Selig and Linda Chinery of Takasago International Corp. to make the fragrances, which are designed to wrap around each other like puzzle pieces and link together by a magnet to create a bigger united structure.
"We wanted our scents to be able to be very strong individually but also be stronger together," Wilson explained to WWD.
Ciara's fragrance offers notes of pink peppercorn, peony, and sandalwood, while Wilson's features notes of black tea, lavender, and musk.
"I like scents to be distinctive," Ciara explained of her aim with the fragrance. "I want it to be memorable. I always think about the feeling that I get when I smell someone that smells so fresh...You remember that scent. It leaves a mark on you."
"For me, I really wanted to put out something sexy," Wilson added. "When you walk in the room, I think you want the man to bring a presence without overdoing it. That's kind of something I've always wanted to feel."
Ciara joked that she had "a little edge up on the process" of creating the scents as she was pregnant with their second child at the time and was "able to truly smell, really smell."
The fragrance duo, which costs $90 (£68), launches on 17 November on the new website RandCFragrance.com. A portion of its sales will be donated to their Why Not You Foundation, a non-profit organisation which works to fight poverty and promote education and children's health.
