Katie Holmes is embracing her inner beauty, and is grateful to be ageing.
The 42-year-old actress appeared make-up free alongside the likes of Kat Graham and Katie Couric for People magazine's annual Beautiful Issue, and she said her approach to beauty is now focused on inner wellbeing.
"I embrace my age with gratitude and I don't worry about not having make up on. My joy comes from within," Katie explained.
The former Dawson's Creek star swears by a healthy diet and good beauty regime, with German aesthetics expert Dr. Barbara Sturm's luxury skincare products at the top of her essentials list.
"I drink a lot of water and try to eat a lot of vegetables to keep my skin as healthy as possible. I take care of my skin by cleaning it every morning and evening, (and) wearing a lot of hyaluronic (acid) serum and moisturiser. I am a big fan of Dr. Sturm. I regularly get (her) facials and use her products," Katie shared.
She said she learnt a lot about skincare while growing up surrounded by women, and is thankful for having "three older sisters who taught me how to wear make-up."
Nowadays, she keeps her regime simple, and rarely wears make-up.
"When I leave the house I make sure I'm wearing sunscreen and a lip gloss," Katie added.
