Today marks the three year anniversary of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding.

On May 19th, 2018, over 29 million viewers were glued to their television as they watched the couple tie the knot in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom. From the moment we watched Meghan Markle walk down the aisle in her beautiful Givenchy dress made by designer Clare Waight Keller, this couple would quickly become one of the most iconic royal couples of our time.

As the first biracial couple to be included in the British royal family, their marriage brought them instant stardom. From pregnancies, to family mishaps, and more… their life as a married couple continuously found its way to every front page British and global media outlet. Within two years of marriage, the couple left behind all of their royal duties and made their way to America for a better life.

In March of this year, Oprah Winfrey sat down with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a special televised interview on CBS that completely shocked the world. For the first time ever, the couple was given the opportunity to share their story on life as a royal and the damaging effects it left on their mental health.

Earlier this week, Oprah and Prince revealed their latest Apple TV+ documentary series that covers the important topic of mental health. The series includes personal stories from major celebrity stars like Prince Harry, Lady Gaga and Glenn Close. “The Me You Can’t See” will be aired on Apple TV+ this Friday.

Despite the various challenges that the couple has faced in both being in the spotlight and being part of the royal family, one thing is certain: their love couldn’t be stronger.
