Kangol bucket hats were one of the most popular pieces of headwear back in the '80s and '90s, and the humble bucket hat has been making a comeback in the last few years.

Bucket hats started growing in popularity once again in 2019 and were huge last year and there seems to be no sign of the trend slowing down anytime soon, judging by the latest advertising campaigns from Burberry and Coach.

In the campaign images for the British luxury fashion house's TB Summer Monogram campaign released earlier this month, supermodel Naomi Campbell can be seen wearing a bucket hat along with a strappy triangle bikini and loose-fitting, lightweight trousers. The pieces, which are on sale now, come in varying shades of blue with the interlocking TB logo print.

And it's not just Naomi - Hot Girl Summer rapper Megan Thee Stallion recently rocked the headpiece when she starred in the campaign for Coach's second collaboration with Japanese streetwear brand Bape, also known as A Bathing Ape.

In the snaps, she posed for photographer Sandy Kim on a New York rooftop wearing a grey and black bucket hat, cropped hoodie and shorts bearing the new, limited-edition print, which blends Coach's signature 'C' pattern with the Bape logo.

But you don't have to turn to designer labels if you want to get in on the trend - most high-street brands such as H&M and Zara are still releasing new bucket hats in a wide variety of designs and materials.

Opt for a lightweight patterned version to keep the sun off your head this summer, or go for a fleece or faux fur design during the winter months.
