Scarlett Johansson has recalled how she had a "terrible" time growing out a mullet as a teenager.
As part of a video for Vogue's Life in Looks series, the Black Widow actress reflected on the bold hairstyle she rocked for several months when she was 19.
"I am wearing a vintage tennis skirt. Converse, and a pair of Victorian bangles that my dad got me, I think for my birthday or Christmas," she said of one of her early 2000s outfits. "And I'm also wearing a mullet. My goal here was David Bowie meets (1984 movie) Silkwood. I think I achieved it. It was a terrible grow out, as you can imagine."
Elsewhere in the chat, Scarlett described the yellow Calvin Klein gown she sported to the 2004 Met Gala as a "nice dress", and gushed about the white Versace suit that she selected for the 2021 American Cinematheque Awards.
"It had been two years since I had done a red carpet. (I wanted) the dazzling corset and radiant skin (to) shine. It was also a power suit moment. Why not?" she asked, adding that her off-duty style tends to be rather simple. "In my own life, I wear a lot of neutral colours... plain clothing."
