Calling all ‘Joker’ movie fans… A sequel is in the works, and a familiar face might be joining  Joaquin Phoenix on-screen.

According to various sources, Lady Gaga is in early talks to star in the next Joker sequel, directed by Todd Philips. While creators of the film are remaining tight-lipped about the storyline, rumour has it that Ms. Gaga would likely be playing to role of Harley Quinn.

“If a deal makes, Gaga would play Quinn. However, this new Quinn exists in a different DC universe than Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, who most recently appeared in 2021’s The Suicide Squad as well as several other films,” as stated in the Hollywood Reporter.

Philips is no stranger to working with the Bad Romance singer. In 2018, he and Bradley Cooper were one of the many producers that worked behind the scenes on the film ‘A Star is Born’... A role that won Gaga many awards after starring in her debut feature film.

As for the Joker, the Oscar Award-winning film, which grossed $1 billion at the box office in 2018, was known to be a huge hit amongst audiences everywhere. Despite the film still being in the pre-production process… We want to know: Do you think Lady Gaga would make for a good Harley Quinn in the Joker?
