Kate Hudson loves when fans recreate her outfits from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

The actress wore a number of memorable looks as Andie Anderson in the 2003 romantic comedy, with highlights including the canary yellow silk Carolina Herrera gown she wore in a key scene opposite co-star Matthew McConaughey.

Reflecting on the movie during an interview for the latest issue of Byrdie, Kate insisted she gets a real thrill whenever she sees someone copy one of the costumes.

"I love it. Sometimes people don't take the care and time to show what these characters are like," she told the outlet. "Andie had very minimal lines, with her pencil skirts and the way she wore her hair to work. Her look was very clear. So, when she got into all of her insanity and all of her crazy (later in the story), we got to have such fun, you know?"

Kate went on to note that the coat she wore as Penny Lane in 2000's Almost Famous remains a favourite among fans, especially when it comes to Halloween costumes.

"All of those little tiny details, they are so important to remembering and falling in love, hopefully, with a character," the 43-year-old added.
