After 21 years on air, the infamous 'Dr.Phil' show will come to an end. Its host, Dr.Phil McGraw, wishes to pursue other ventures and says there is 'so much more' he wishes to do.

The host and former psychologist first started his career on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' in the late 90's before officially airing the first episode of his own show on September 16, 2002. The 'Dr.Phil' show went on for more than two decades, and had guests such as Danielle Bregoli, also known as the 'Cash Me Outside' girl, Mama June from 'Honey Boo Boo', and more.

Though the 72-year-old host did not mention what he would be pursuing exactly, retirement doesn't seem to be an option.

Fans can expect new episodes to keep airing for the 2022-2023 season, while reruns will be airing for the 2023-2024 season.

"Phil changed the daytime landscape as the force behind one of the most popular talk shows every on daytime TV," said Steve LoCasio, president of CBS Media Ventures, following the announcement.
