Eugénie Bouchard Will Retire From Tennis At The National Bank Open in Montreal

It’s the end of an era for Eugenie Bouchard.

The Canadian tennis star, who reached a career-high ranking of No. 5 in the world during the 2014 season, has announced she will retire at this year’s National Bank Open in Montreal.

Tennis Canada confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday, adding that Bouchard will receive a main-draw wild card into the WTA 1000 hardcourt tournament.

Bouchard also shared the update with fans on social media.
