It’s that time of year again! This Sunday, March 8th, we officially "spring forward" into Daylight Saving Time. At 2:00 AM, our clocks will jump ahead to 3:00 AM.
While we lose an hour of sleep this weekend, the tradeoff is well worth it: later sunsets and that extra boost of evening Vitamin D we’ve all been craving. To make the transition a little smoother, keep these tools and tips in mind:
- Smart Tech: Most smartphones, smartwatches, and computers will update automatically. Just give them a quick double-check when you wake up!
- Safety Check: Use the time change as a reminder to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
- Sleep Hygiene: If you're feeling groggy, tools like sunrise alarm clocks or apps like Calm can help reset your circadian rhythm.
- Manual Clocks: Don’t forget the microwave, oven, and car dashboard—they usually need a manual hand!
