Ed Sheeran has released not one, but TWO versions of ‘Beautiful People’, the latest single from his highly-anticipated collaborations project. The new album, dubbed ‘Collaborations No. 6’, is due out July 12, but fans have got another morsel to chew on as they await the big release!
The quirky video is all about today’s beauty standards compared to “real” people! The chorus proclaims “That’s not who we are, we are not beautiful people!” It’s a hopeful message for all us regular folks out there who are confronted daily with beauty standards that are impossible to meet.
Sheeran released both an official video for the song, as well as a stripped-down acoustic version. The video, featuring Khalid, shows a couple of ordinary people mingling with supermodels… And looking VERY uncomfortable and out of place.
The acoustic version was recorded with just guitar and piano, at London’s legendary Abbey Road studios.
