Do you feel nostalgic about the old Champlain Bridge whenever you cross the new one into and out of Montreal? You’re not alone! There has been renewed public interest in the recently closed bridge ever since it was decommissioned late last summer… So much so, in fact, that Héritage Montréal and the Jacques-Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) have teamed up to offer guided “walking tours” of the old structure.

Spaces are limited for these walking tours – in fact, two of the four that have been organized are already fully booked. You can sign up for a visit – $20 each – on heritagemontreal.org.
Each visit will last 90 minutes. A bus will take visitors onto the bridge, with two stops along the way where people will be allowed off the bus to see the bridge as never before – from a pedestrian’s perspective!
