Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had some good news - he confirmed the application process for the Canada emergency response benefit will be ready as of April 6th and if you pick direct deposit – you can get the CERB payment as fast as 3-5 days. If you already applied for EI you are good to go and do not need fill in the CERB application.
Quebec’s seniors' and long-term care facilities are struggling - 410 of them have cases of COVID-19 and they account for more than half of the province’s 31 deaths, so visits to long-care homes have been banned
As of now, Quebec has banned non-essential travel into the western part of the province, that includes visitors from Ontario and Police will be setting up checkpoints.
