Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the federal government have guaranteed over 200 million dollars in support for members of the country's most vulnerable populations.

The breakdown:
40 MILLION dollars to help support womens shelters across Canada, and
10 MILLON dollars to support Indigenous women and childrens shelters.
Trudeau acknowledged that no Canadian should ever feel unsafe in their own home, or run the risk of getting COVID-19 as they attempt to flee a dangerous living situation.

The federal government has also promised an additional 157 MILLION dollars in support of homeless shelters and facilities across Canada, to help purchase more beds and other essential supplies.

At his press conference, Trudeau also noted that over the next 48 hours, millons of masks will be delivered from China by cargo flights across all provinces and territories.
These cargo flights are thanks to Canadian companies Cargo Jet and Air Canada.
