Vaudreuil-Dorion is opening a temporary Drive-in movie theatre in the parking lot at Cité-des-Jeunes high school.

It should be able to accommodate about 90 cars at about 10 dollars each and it will be there for the summer.

As for the rest of the Drive-ins across Quebec the provincial government last week announced said they could reopen May 29, along with museums and libraries.

One of the biggest drive-ins in Canada, Ciné-parc St-Eustache is hoping to open this weekend.

The owners there say social distancing will not be an issue, but the biggest challenge now is finding new feature film releases to show. “The companies that distributed new feature films have stopped distributing them.” Could be summer full of classics!
