The NHL is ready to get back into the game and has a plan for 24-team playoff format.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman says the regular-season is considered completed, so the plan now is to hold a round-robin qualifying round followed by a 16-team playoff.

 IF they can get the go-ahead from government and health officials, the league hopes hold training camps in July and start playing games by August.
