The Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) dropped some good news this week.
As of June 7th, SAQ Express branches will be open from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
All other branches, namely the SAQ Depot, the SAQ Selection, and the SAQ Classic, will open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
The announcement arrives after the SAQ implemented a variety of preventive measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 in March. Sanitary measures such as traffic control, will remain in place to ensure physical distancing and hygiene protocols are met. Plexiglass barriers were installed at checkout counters and customers are encouraged to pay with plastic rather than cash. Customers are also asked to comply with the 2-meter distance both in lineups outside and inside the store.
For those of you being extra careful, it’s worth noting the SAQ has teamed up with Purolator to deliver parcels directly to your home. All home delivery fees of $12 will be entirely donated to Food Banks of Quebec to deal with the current Covid-19 situation.
Here is a list of store hours lifted from the official SAQ website:
